A fine English George III scarlet japanned bureau; all the surfaces superbly decorated with rich gilt chinoiseries on a scarlet red background, the fall-front opening to reveal a similarly decorated writing slide with red leather and various pigeon-holes and drawers; above two short drawers over two long drawers all decorated and with engraved brass handles.
