A MEDIEVAL LIMESTONE TORSO OF A BISHOP

A French medieval carved limestone torso of a Bishop wearing a chasuble. The holes which run along the outline of the orphrey would have contained brightly coloured glass stones, resembling jewels. The whole statue would have been painted.
