A pair of French Louis XVI cabinets of exceptional quality in an Italianate manner. Comprising two cupboards with a pair of drawers above each, inlaid throughout in a profusely florid style using many different woods. The burnished gilt bronze mounts upon cleaning indicate each piece is stamped on the reverse with Roman Numerals, with the classical mask at each base in two tone burnishing. The hand cut tops of Sienna marble. Slight bowing to the side and front panels due to age, otherwise in exceptional condition.
